Comfortable. Not too hard or too soft. Lots of pillows. The new blankets however are not as heavy so I had to turn down air-conditioner. I bring a blanket with me on plane and used that as an extra one night.

Any word on refrigerators? I saw a bunch of miscellaneous threads but they are for all resorts and too confusing to find CBR among them. Also seems one report says they are all replaced and the next one says they didn't have a refrigerator??

I had one, it wasn't plugged in so I plugged it!

My family and I just got back on August 14 and we had a working fridge in our room. We were in Jamaica. I was expecting to not have one in our room but we did. We use it to freeze water bottles so we can take with us. It was HOT the days we were there so it came in handy. Good luck.

Freeze water bottles? Do the fridges have a freezer now? Mum wants to freeze orange juice to take to the parks with her so that would be awesome.

We've stayed at CBR a few times; I always remember having a fridge.

There was an issue with the refrigerators in all Disney resorts recently, which caused them to remove them. But they are in the process of replacing them now.

Hi y'all! I will be checking into CBR with my two DDs October 6th for 7 nights. It will be our first time at this resort and I have enjoyed reading this thread to get acquainted with it! I have one question so far: When I booked I could only get water/pool view or Pirate. I chose Water/Pool, mainly because I am frugal and it was cheaper. lol Is that considered preferred? I would like to request an upper corner room (water view, not pool), so I am trying to figure out the best place for this.

No, preferred is it's own separate category. Water/Pool views can be in any village.

This is my favorite of the Disney Resorts. We spentone day of our vacation just sitting poolside. Love the pirate rooms.

OK, thats what inquiring minds want to know, lol.

So they are indeed doing a mild rehab NOW, with soft goods and paint?

Next year they will be doing the more major rehab with furniture / queen beds ?

Kind of a strange way to rehab, maybe thats why it confusing for some uf us . Wondering what the time frame for completion is on the mild rehab ?

Back to the original question to Hanna. Was your room in Jamaica like the picture of the mild rehab?

Yes it does look like that...still with the runner at the end of the bed. We are in a king. I wish I could post pics!!

Not us there is a fridge in our room but it in unplugged and has a sign on it that says it has not yet been replaced and to not plug this one in as it is defective.

Do you need a Friday? Did you ask for one when you got there? We are going in 2 weeks and ordered garden grocer so we will really need one!
