PERFECT! :thumbsup2 Thank you!
Do you think the Jamaica 45 or Aruba 51 locations are about the same (walking distance to jacuzzi) as say Trinidad south bldg. 34 or 35 or Martinique bldg. 22, 23?

We have also stayed in Martinique 23 and the walk was about the same as the one from Jamaica 41 & 42. We haven't stayed in Trinidad South (pirate rooms) but I have walked over there to have a look around. My walk back to Old Port Royale was about 6 1/2 minutes.

That doesn't sound bad at all. I think walking over the bridge through Caribbean Cay will be the way to go for us....it's a Disney vaca, can't really go wrong anywhere we're placed

I, personally, think that the walking times/distances aren't bad at all. I often go out in the mornings and make a walk around the entire promenade. It's a great way to see all of the resort.

Hey all :) Is the only CBR thread? I am hoping to find room pics? Not sure if we want to stay here or POP. I am also concerned about food court?

There is also a CBR picture thread. I have posted lots of pictures of the resort grounds, rooms and food court there.

I meant to post the link to the CBR pics thread but forgot. Here you go: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1845975

You'll find the menus for the CBR food court here: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1845975

We've stayed at the CBR 6 years in a row and eat in the food court numerous times during our stays. We've had items that are not included on the menus linked above. The vegetable soup and the tomato soups are delicious. You'll also see in the pictures that I posted on the CBR thread that the grab n go section has prepackaged sushi and sandwiches as well as veggies and dips, fresh fruit, assorted baked goods and more. I've never had a bad meal in the food court.

Well, the counter on my computer says we'll be at CBR in just... 19 days!

We have all out Mickey mail so I guess it's time...

So, I got the suitcases out today. No point in waiting until the last minute!:)

I'm too excited to sleep!

so, we are going to WDW in 12 days.

I booked last Saturday at CBR in a pirate room so I know we'll be in Trinidad South. We are considering ordering the "Me pirate Adventure" for the room for our two boys, ages 10 and 8. They said for a little more they will double up on stuff but I didn't ask too many specific's I was trying to get over the cost. This is a huge amount in our budget but DH just wants to spoil the crud out of the boys while we are there so it's on the table. Has anyone ordered this before ? They want to do it on our check-in day (Christmas Eve) since our first full day there is Christmas and they are closed on Christmas, as they should be.

What are the chances of us getting into the room early ? We are driving and can arrange to be there early if we want to. Are there any special spots in particular that are great for photo's at CBR ? Can you walk to any other resorts from CBR or take a boat ?

I am still trying to figure out an attack plan. I know we will be doing the parks at least two days, Epcot on Christmas and MK on another day. We have fun visits for DQ and depending on how hot it is, water parks. We have to wait until we get there to see how many days we have left on out passes but know that we have at least 7-10 fun visits left. We also have one day tickets to LegoLand. We are there from the 24th until the 30th, driving down from NH with a 1 day stop in DC and a nap at my sister's in NC.

We are also unsure if we want to bring down any Christmas presents. I told DH that the pirate thing plus LegoLand tickets would be enough and they can get everything else when we get home. (Since this trip was unplanned until last weekend, we have a full boat of Christmas presents here for them.) They will be playing their PSP's on the way down and my DH wants to bring the 3DS's we bought for them and give them to them there but I think the trip and the parks and stuff would be plenty if not already over the top. The Pirate room and maybe the pirate set up would be plenty. The less we are traveling with the better. I don't want to be leaving too much in the room.

Any tips or things we should watch for would be great.

I've never ordered the "Me Pirate Adventure" so I can't comment on what it includes or how much of it there will be.

Even if your room isn't ready early, there are still things to do while at the resort if the weather isn't too cold or rainy. We like to rent the surrey bikes and take a spin around the resort. Usually, we rent it for a half hour and can make two entire loops around. The main pool is awesome and, again, if the weather cooperates, you could spend a good amount of time there. There are changing/shower rooms near the main pool so you could change there. Also, there are playgrounds on several of the beaches and a larger playground on the island in the middle of the resort.

As far as a particular place within the resort to take pictures, I'd have to say anywhere. The resort grounds are lovely and there are lots of picture taking opportunities. The island has cannons and lots of lush landscaping so it's always a good spot to take pictures.

You probably could walk from the CBR to other resorts but there's no sidewalks and the walk would be dangerous.

If you feel like you want to buy the kids something special for Christmas, the store at Old Port Royale at the CBR has a nice selection of toys and clothes to choose from. You shouldn't have a problem finding them something should you decide to do so.

I have lots of pictures and details about the resort in my trip report. Just click on the link below to have a look around.

I just modified our existing CBR reservation using the new special offer and saved $491.88! For those of you staying at the CBR in 2012, head over to the Disney World site to see if your dates are covered.

What's this new offer?

I am new to this site. Going in February and wondering if this offer would help me.

Thanks!

Yes, we are using the free dining in Feb. Thanks for your response. I didn't know if it was anything else I could use to my advantage. Didn't hurt to ask.;)

I see you are from Bayou Country. I am too. I could be your neighbor. ;)

For our family, free dining saves us more than a % off offer but I'm taking whatever Disney wants to give me at this point. ;)

We are from West Monroe. Where are you located?

TY SO much!!! We are still trying to decide here or POP could you suggest a central located building?

You are very welcome. The pictures that I posted of the food court, store, etc. are fairly close to the end. I took them when we were there in May of this year. We have stayed in both preferred and non-preferred buildings. Our walk from Martinique 25 and 26 (both preferred) to Old Port Royale were just a few minutes. The walk from the non-preferred Martinique buildings and the Jamaica buildings were about 5 minutes. If I had to chose from a non-preferred location, I'd probably go with any of the buildings in Jamaica. If I were to book preferred, I'd request Martinique 26.

**Edited to add: My mother is 77 years old and has gone with us to Disney and the CBR the past two years. Even she made the walk from Jamaica 41 to Old Port Royale in 5 minutes. It's really a pretty walk.

My family and I loved CBR. If you don't want to pay extra for a preferred location, I would suggest Jamaica 45 or Aruba 51. We stayed in Jamaic 45 and it was a 5 minute walk over to the Food Court and main pool, and less than that to the bus stop.

Does anyone know if the pools usually have towels, or do you have to bring them down from your room? Thanks!
