They also leave small packets that have the stirring straw, package of sugar, package of artificial sweetener and package of creamer in them.

Good, one less thing to think about...does Mousekeeping leave paper cups for the coffee maker or should I pack it.

Also, I have another silly question...I'm getting my tip envelopes ready. Is it really called mousekeeping (very cute!)

I'm wondering about those paper cups too.

They will leave cups for you as well. They are the styrofoam type cups.

I make envelopes for every trip and I address them to MOUSEKEEPING

Thanks! One less thing to pack. :goodvibes

We are going to be staying here in October, and we currently have res. for three standard rooms. When we check in, should we ask for an upgrade if available or is that something they *might* offer if it's empty? Our family is booked for three rooms....so this might be just a wish request :yay:

From what I have seen of numerous similar questions: If you ask for an upgrade they will quote you the current rack rate for a preferred room. I believe they cost about $10/day more than a standard. If this is what you want, you could upgrade before you check in.

If you are asking for a free upgrade: the prevailing wisdom seems to be "if you ask, you won't get."

I noticed on the CBR map all of the different bus stops and I was wondering -- are these just the internal bus stops for CBR? Or are they the Disney park bus stops, or both? I assume they service both CBR internally as well as the parks, but I just want to make sure...

They are for both. We had great bus service at CBR.

Agreed. But it's currently $25 more per night ($30 more per night from Dec. 23 thru Jan. 1).

Just got back from a 2 night stay at CBR in a pirate room. The beds are comfortable, we didn't have any issues with that. The rooms was great, actually a bit bigger than what I expected, the pirate touches are awesome. The only thing that I didn't like was that there were no kid activities, not even at the pool. We have stayed at POR, Wilderness Campground and AKL and all of them have at least the little party around the pool, with music and games.
I know that Pop has also a pool party and was just dissapointed that CBR didn't have that.
Anyways we had a great time, the resort is very relaxing, we were in Trinidad South and only took us about 7 minutes to get to the area where the main pool and food court was.

Thanks for the review! We've been contemplating mixing it up a bit and booking a pirate room for our next trip (we've been to the CBR 6 times). It's good to hear that you thought the beds were comfortable as that was one of our concerns.

The only kids' activities that we have ever seen at the CBR (other than when the main pool was under rehab) are limbo contests in the food court.

I just booked a last minute trip to CBR for mid-August. It will be me, DS 13, my sister and her DS 5. I can't wait, I so need to get away! Since we just booked all we could get was a late flight, which I have never done before. We land at MCO at 9:45pm. We are taking the ME and I plan to pick-up our luggage first. So I am assuming we will not get to CBR until @ 11:00pm. If I remember correctly, luggage is not allowed on the internal bus? Will there be someone to help us get ourselves and our luggage to our room? I don't want to have to wait until the morning for our luggage.

Bell Services will take you and your luggage from the Custom House to your room.

Oh no! I'm a late arrival too and I didn't think of that. :scared1:

I can't imagine lugging all the luggage to our room that late with the resort being so large...I'm sure people arrive late often and would allow either luggage on the internal bus after 10 (since ME doesn't pick up that late) or has some type of plan in place...

Does anyone have experience with this that has stayed at CBR before?

:confused3

Thanks for the report and I'm glad you enjoyed your stay! Our kids are older now but the kid's activities are a bit hit-and-miss at CBR. When we went in March 2008 there were loads of organized activities because the main pool was closed for renovation at the time. I really enjoyed the movies on the "island", looking over to see the high fireworks at EPCOT. I think that's when I fell in love with the place.:)

At that time of night it's a very good idea to pick up your luggage. As others have said, luggage services will look after you once you make it to CBR. On one trip we arrived at 1:00 AM (delayed flight) and were checked in and at our room in record time. Back then DME worked 24 hrs/day so we got our luggage at 9 the next morning. We had them hold it until then. Have a great trip!:)
