Thank you for your replies. Wow, it is so dofferent in the UK where most of the attractions, theme parks, zoos, etc.. will give free carer (companion) admission, this is why I thought I would check before buying tickets. Please bear this in mind if you ever visit the UK. You can even get free admission to the cinema for the carer - it works on the basis that although the disabled person might enjoy that activity the carer might not but has to accompany anyway so this is why they get in for free. There are several places we have had to go where I have been pleased to have got in for free (if you know what I mean!!).
Interesting to read about DLP though, we usually stay in a DLP hotel so the tickets for that day are included. Maybe it is to do with EU laws.
We was going to come over for Xmas this year but because of weak £ changed our mind - but the prices of the holidays have plummetted and I've found it is £1000 cheaper at the moment than the quote I got in October. What is putting me off is that I would have to take my son out of school (it is a long way to travel for just a week!) and he will be starting Year 1 which is the first year for doing 'proper' school work rather than play and because I am not sure what additional help he will need or how he will adjust I am reluctant to take him from the school week in case it is too disruptive. Such a hard descision to make.
How busy/hot is Orlando at Easter? We have always visited in January where is just right but we do not think my husband will be able to get next Xmas off work as he just had this Xmas off.
