Hey there. Can someone fill me in on how the Caregiver tickets work? We will be travelling in Summer 2020 with my whole family which includes an almost 2 year old (at the time of travel) with significant physical disabilities including a trach and tube feeding. My Mom is travelling with us to help take care of my kiddo. Would she qualify as a "caregiver" to get the "caregiver" ticket price. In Summer 2021 we will be travelling again to WDW and will likely bring a nurse to help take care of our little guy. Surely they qualify for the caregiver ticket right? How do you get these tickets and what are the restrictions associated with them? Thanks so much!

I thought that was only at Disneyland in France - not sure if it's still offered there. I haven't heard of it for Florida.

None of the US parks offer tickets or discounts for caregivers.

No caregiver ticket for the Disney parks as others mentioned. However we have had a night nurse for all of our stays. They resort staff are excellent for dealing with them being there. We do give them their name when we arrive (if we know it, we usually meet them that first night) so they can get into the parking lot and the resort does not charge them for parking each night. They always offer to give them a magic band for the room but we decline as we are there to let them in. Your circumstance may be different. Definitely talk to the front desk, they may have other ideas to help you out.

However we have had a night nurse for all of our stays.
We have a lot of nursing at home, including all nights. I have paid for a condo for them, across the hall for us, flights down while we drove, and park tickets. This was when we had two nurses for the same 4 days and nights and they came down and worked more days but the same number of hours. Now it is much different, so I don’t think I could bring someone.

So, is that night nurse someone you hire privately or how does that work. My son has financial resources I wouldn’t mind spending on a night nurse!

We use a nursing company from Orlando. They do a lot of the Give Kids The World kids. We get it all set up a few months ahead of time (we are from Canada). We have used a couple different agencies. I believe it is Maxim Healthcare we have used the last few years. We usually have them come 11-8am or 10-7am. We do an intake the afternoon we arrive, usually takes at least an hour. We get connecting rooms and if the nurse needs me they just call out to me or knock on the interior door.
