Career Start Program Eliminated?

I can't find anything about the CSP on Disney's website. I sent an email to Disney a while back but never heard back...

I don't think they're offering it every semester anymore since the College Program has gotten so popular. I did Career Start fall 2008 & loved it, been seasonal since then. The cs website is/was wdwcareerstart.com

Part of me doesn't get the problem about no more CS (saw a few other threads whilst browsing). I can understand about wanting to go right from HS to Disney, but it's really better to just do the one semester then go for a CP. I'm so glad I did because otherwise, I doubt I'd have even considered going on to college! Working for Disney on the CP became too big of a passion but when I realised I needed a degree to further my goals, of coure I came back to school.

Cheer up, guys, just take some classes this fall then go for a CP! I applied my first semester of college and it didn't hurt me to wait a few months to get down there.

What you said is perfect! My manager in my first area who was over the cps, so she was always giving us advice, told me to finish my degree then come back. She said too many of the kids come and never leave, so they never finish college.
I plan on finishing school, then my husband and I will do a program together, hopefully stay seasonal, then go down again after he graduates(him doing a program or pi and me going for a more permanent job) and then stay down there. That's the plan at least.
I agree that it's sad they aren't doing the cs, but if you want to work for Disney that badly, take a pe class for a semester, or a cheap online class and then apply.

My 2 DS's had hoped to do the CSP, one before going on to the Navy, the other before going on to a journeymqn program.... college isn't for every Disney lover.

I did hear back from Disney - there has been no decision on what to do with the CSP in the future. It's in limbo.
