I've got a decent AAA rate for POP mid Oct, $100 per night, taxes, etc. included, and I am wondering if this the best I'm going to do. Any idea from those who've gone this time of year if I should keep my eye open for a better roon-only, no dining rate as we get closer?

Thanks in advance

We got a general public 40% room discount last Oct. I believe it was announced in August.

i called last week and asked if there was a code attached to our name....got a nice cm. she said, yes, 2 in fact, a kids eat free and then a second code of 40% off room only....she priced them both out and the 40% room only was $100 cheaper. so we went with that. i know it all depends on which cm you get when you call as to if they will look and tell you if a code is there, but i would keep trying. i told her we got a 20% value resort code in the mail and i didn't call b/c Dh is going for a conference and wants us to all stay at the resort the conference is at--which is BWI, a deluxe resort--the cm said, oh, even though the post card said value resort there are still disounts for all resorts attached to that code--you just have to call us! I did NOT know that! so, it really never hurts to call and call back if you get an unhelpful cm. good luck!
