hi guys,
i want to send a care package to a friend of mine who's being deployed to N. Korea soon. What should i send? are there specific items that are prohibited? items that are encouraged? size restrictions?
thanks!

You may want to post this on the Operation Iraqi Board.

I know chips, non-chocolate cookies, toilet paper, sun screen, chap stick, deoderant, lotions, crackers and cheese in a can, baby wipes, regular wipes, baby powder, Q-tips, magazines without any swim suites or nudity, gum, hard candy, fruit bars, kleenex......

Are you sure North Korea or do you mean South Korea? It's not usually not considered a deployement when you go to S Korea but a short tour ;) It means he will be gone a year rather than a few months. But then one thing about the military things never stay the same. There are not too many restrictions on things going to Korea but more restrictions on things going out.

South Korea has quite a lot of American stuff but sure he would like American things from home. It more depends on what type of place he will be at.. small bases he may need more things than bigger bases (which are pretty much the same as at home)
