We still haven't heard from Susie, "Escape" since the storms. I believe she lives in Arkansas. Please does anyone know if she is ok?

If you have her phone # please call her and make sure she is ok. She may be on vacation somewhere or without power.

I hope no one thinks I'm invading her privacy but she has friends that are worried.

If you have noticed anyone else that seems to be missing?

Stephanie posted on the mega thread that she is a-okay. No word from anyone else yet though. Fingers crossed!!!!!

Mel--thanks for thinking of me! We were actually spared most of the bad weather. Only had severe thunderstorms in our area. Susie lives much closer to where the big one hit--but I think her actual town was spared.

I'm still hanging around, but have been really sick this week. I've been laid up in bed since Monday afternoon. I think today I'm gonna beat this thing. But since I've had very little sleep and very little to eat in the past few days I"m still very weak. Off to go find a nice quiet nap spot.

Leana, just noticed you are doing the Quebec City Marathon, Mike and I where considering that one as well. Great year for it since they are celebrating 400 years, I believe this year. Any luck with hotels???

Here's an excerpt from an email I received from escape/Susie:

" This has been a wild week. A tornado hit in Atkins, Arkansas which is around 10 miles from my home. A lot of damage was done and several people were killed including one of Steve's co-worker's brother. Really sad. Today, I saw the funeral procession for a family that was killed. Really, really sad.

We had some major roof damage as did several of our neighbors. Also, lots of trees and power lines knocked down. Luckily, our power did not go out. We've been busy this week cleaning up debris and cleaning up a little rent house we have that sustained some minor flooding. What a mess. However, we're alive and doing great. I can't complain."
