We are visiting SIL near Cardigan over Easter and are planning to visit Cardiff and SIL has suggested going by train. DD and I would like to see the Dr Who exhibition which is at Cardiff Bay.

What is the best way to get from Cardiff to Cardiff bay? Would it be easier to drive and park at Cardiff Bay ?

If going by train it would have to be the Saturday or Sunday because of the train strike later that week. However if we did go by car that could be any day the following week.

Hi

I live in Cardiff and it is easy to park in Cardiff Bay, if you go on the weekend it will be very busy, however there is a small 2 tier car park right at the bay, or just 2 mins away there is a much bigger multi story car park. You actually might find it easier parking down there than the centre of Cardiff.

Of Course the other options if you are coming to Cardiff from Cardigan by train, is to get the train from Cardiff Central to Cardiff Bay station which is in Bute Street, a short walk from the bay or to get a bus down to the bay, they run very frequently about every 10-15 mins.

If you need any more info, just let me know, I only live 10 mins walk from the Bay.:)
