Card Swap~COMPLETE

Question for Rebecca, Suzanne, and Jen - do you have a pen that writes on dark paper? I can *probably* cut a liner for the card in SCAL, but I'm having difficulty making it. If you have a dark paper pen, I won't continue to drive myself crazy. :)

 Just now saw this question. The beginning of school has been crazy and I have missed the dis. I do have a white pen for writing on dark colors.

Also, checking in late...sorry:flower3:

I have my baby and thank you cards finished. I have the Christmas ones cut with bling pulled out to use. I have my idea sketched for Mickey. Now that my first 2 1/2 weeks of school are done and parent orientation is over, I can resume a somewhat normal life. I plan on putting together the Christmas cards tomorrow and cutting and making the Mickey cards on Saturday. I will be ready to mail on time.:)

No worries. I'm thinking of extending this a bit. A lot of us are in the Mega-ABC swap due about a week after this...So, how about 2 weeks - making the due date October 8th? Everyone?

That sounds great- although I have been getting cards done. I have the baby boy and 1 thank you card finished.

Rebecca

 I've already finished the mega ABC, but I like the idea of having a little extra time.

Yeah, I'm nearly done with this and that, but the extra time will give me a bit of breathing room to get everything done well :)

The extra time sound great. I should be on target to get them done by the original date, but this gives me more flexibility.

Love the extra bit of time too! although I should have 3 of my 6 sets done by tonight.

1 set - just isn't working out quite right...yet...but I am determined to get it right!

I am just clueless on 1 set...but hope to have at least a good concept down by the weekend :)

And then my Christmas card...I'll be starting on those in general at a stamping function on the 18th. So - no worries about that one!

OK - This is where I am at with my Thank you card - could I please get some opinions please???

The colors are much brighter, and the plaid is a little glittery, which really doesn't come through on the pics. Also - I'm debating whether this should be in a"portrait" format or a "landscape" format. Or - if I do not stamp a "handstamped" thing on the back - if you are in my group - then you can decide which orientation you like best!

Nothing is glued down yet...I had bought some ribbon - which theoretically looked great with the patterned paper and the blue...but just didn't look right when it was all put together, so I am simply not adding it. So - do you have any comments???

And - it is late tonight...I'll try to actually post the images tomorrow night...I am having a brain-freeze right now. I don't post photos often...and on flickr - I'm just having issues.

And...here is my "teaser" if you go look at these pics - you'll also see the masculine b-day card, and my sympathy card and my "blank card", (the sympathy card is really blurry - put hopefully you'll get the idea of what it looks like.)

That clip thing is really cool.

Have you thought about inking the edges of the blue paper with green? I'm addicted to inking, so just throw the suggestion away if you aren't. ;)

Or maybe one more smaller patterned rectangle in the middle? Does the clip still show up against the pattern?

I like it landscaped. Not sure why. :confused3

I do like your color combination. It is a very nice card.

Thanks AWM! I'll have to work on it a little more tonight. The color shows up as navy, but it is more of a dark bluish teal. Thanks for your suggestions!

That color combo rocks! It does need something...Maybe another patterned paper on top of the blue square, as Ann suggested?

These are mine for Group F - Blank cards

I have 4 of my 5 cards done- I just need to do my blank ones and then get the card candy done to mail.

Rebecca

Got my TY card figured out and completed. Found this awesome new product that I just had to try!:lmao: I think it was called design adhesive.

Anyways - I still haven't figured out my problem with posting images that are on Flickr. so - I'll continue to just post the link.
