I'm hoping someone knows. Can I have a Carbolite or Atkins bar during induction? They are a perfect snack to get me through a sweet craving. But, I've been on Atkins for 5 days and only lost 1 lb. so I'm wondering if maybe I'm not losing because of my little snack.

You really shouldn't be eating them on induction.

For something sweet, try whipping up a little heavy cream and Splenda. Or have some sugar-free Jello (with a little whipped cream). Or even try mixing a little cream cheese with vanilla and Splenda for a satisfying, induction-friendly sweet snack. A tablespoon or two of cream in a Diet Rite Tangerine is great, too!

The more you can stay away from sweet stuff, though, the fewer cravings you'll have for it. If you DO have to have something sweet, the higher the fat content (as in those suggestions above), the more satisfying and less craving-inducing it will be.

Thanks for the info. Bummer, they are so easy to bring with me when I'm on the road. And I'm all about what's easiest. Oh well, I figured they were too good to be true...right now anyway.
