Hi...

We will be traveling by tour bus to Disney with DD who will be 2 in May. I have been thinking about getting a tray for her car seat to make it easier for her to snack and play with some of the toys I'm binging for her. The 3 that I can find are the Taby Tray, the Star Kids Snack and Play Tray (on this website ) and the Fisher Price Soft Travel Tray. Has anyone here ever used these? How well do they actually work, and are they easy to attach?

Also, we will be taking our umbrella stroller to the park. It has a parent tray but no child tray. Has anyone used the click and go cup holder for their kids? We looked at some other cup holders last night, but they all looked like they would be hard to attach and at the wrong angle for DD to use. My other option would be to go with some kind of corded cup holder (like a drink deputy) but I wonder how easy it would be for DD to simply pop the cup out of the strap. Any ideas?

Thanks!!!!

What kind of tour bus? Most have no seatbelts, so you wouldn't be able to use a car seat.

check this website under "feeding" there is some sort of neat tray that can fit on umbrella strollers and carseats.

comes in blue or white.

I have the Taby Tray and love, love it. Bought it 2 yrs ago when we drove to Sesame Place and we use it all the time still. My daughter is now 4 and she loves to color with this(it has a lip on the edge so the crayons don't fall on the floor anymore) or play little ponies on it and recently we got a portable dvd player and I put it on the tray. It holds sippy cups and drink cups from fast food great.Well worth the 20 bucks

Hi-

I forget the company that we use, but the first row of seats has belts, so we're ok there.

Thanks!

They have the Taby tray that fits on car seats and I think larger strollers, and then they have another tray - I think the one you are referring to - that works with restaurant high chairs and some strollers. That one would be great because it folds up, but it's not not wide enough to work with a car seat. Thank you for the website though, it's a great site!

How hard is it to set up? Once it's there, is it easy to remove? (say, if DD wants to nap) Thank you!!!

Not trying to be the messenger of doom, just to inform you. You should be aware that most car seat manuals state that the use of such after market products void their warranty. But more importantly, head excursion (how far your child's head will extend forward in a crash) is 32 inches without a tether anchor, which I doubut they'll have on a tour bus, so your child could be seriously injured by sucha hard tray that's attached to the car seat in the event of a sudden stop or crash

It has a strap with a closure on both sides- the clip is like those on strollers or fanny packs(don't know there real name!)and you just squeeze it to open.It has a long strap that can be adjusted to fit around the car seat and then you can choose to open it on either side depending on whats easier. When I keep it in the car I unhook the side closest to the door and just sort of stand it up on its side so its ready for her when she wants it or just pull on the strap and it slided out from behind the seat. After the first time of adjusting the lenth its easy to put on and off-I now use a graco booster seat with it that has the back and head rest with arm rests but before that I had a britax car seat and I don't remember any problems.

I wondered about that. The Star Kid tray doesn't appear to be made of a hard material, so maybe that's the way to go. Hmmm.

Ty for mentioning it.

Ahh, ok. So it sounds like even when you totally remove it the straps would stay in place. That makes sense to me now. I was having trouble visualizing how it worked.

Ty!!
