we will have our 1 year old granddaughter on a cruise in October out of PC. There will be 5 adults plus her and i'm trying to figure out the best transportation options. They can bring a car seat which means renting an SUV or mini-van. If we use one way rentals, we'll lug the car seat around with us. Another option is Disney transportation which will be $420.

Has anyone used a car service or bus service that already has a car seat? If so, what are the costs?

Thanks for the help

If you use bus transportation (like DCL transfers) you don't need a car seat.

Car-type transportation (like a regular car, limo) you need a car seat.

Many limo/car rental companies do have car seats available, but, personally, I'd be leery of using those. If I was going to use a car seat, I'd bring my own.

The 1yo can use her car seat on board the plane as well :) We bungeed ours to a cheap folding luggage cart from Walmart and strolled it right on board. It's safer plus it is something familiar to the kids and they do better in their own seat.

We've used FL Tours (advertiser here) and have had them provide a car seat without concern more than once. For my 2 year old niece and again for my 3 year old niece (different niece).

Everyone's gotta do what they're comfortable with. For me, there's no way I would ever even entertain the idea of taking a car seat into one of those staterooms for a week. Especially, with the fact that I'd have two! It's already super close quarters as it is. We've done car service with car seats multiple times & felt totally comfortable. I'd trust a car service's car seat over going on a coach bus without one (Disney transportation). Just sayin'.
