Car seat on the plane

My 20th month olds car seat says this car seat cant be used in the airplane unless you are usng the harness system
so what kinda car seat can go on the plane
the car seat and have a belt go thru the middle and it has a tether for the back plus you can out a seat belt across the from
i am alittel confused we got a seat from ds20 months so how do you do this
help

i figured it out
he stis in the seat belted into the harness thats IN the car sear and hte seat belt itself goes thru the middle of the seat
yeah im a dummy

20 month.....probably could get away with no car seat, or sitting in lap. But if you need the car seat for a rental car, then yes go ahead and bring it on the plane. the seat belt will loop through the back of the car seat and set it in place.

Yep you got it and at 20mos if you purchased an airplaine seat you can definately use the carseat for your baby. Both the AAP and FAA recommend using a carseat for children up to 40lbs.

In addition your child will be familiar with the carseat and realize that he/she needs to stay put. For us we had no issues with wanting up and out when we used the carseat. We also had some terrible turbulance and one difficult landing, made me very glad we used it.

we decided to get the seat becasue our trip tickets went down and jetblue owed us $120 we were gonna do the lap thing but i didnt really wanna
this will be better
i feel so much better already
