Who uses a car seat for a 2 year old while flying. It didn't even cross my mind to lug that around until a friend asked. I am still not taking it 3 kids, stroller, and carry ons is enough for me!!!:rotfl:

i did not use my carseat for my almost 2.5yo when we flew down and absolutely regretted it... he would not sit happily in the seat, could undo the seatbelt, couldn't really reach the tray table... it was a major nightmare/pita (fortunately only 3 hours!)...

i opted to take it the next trip (a few months later) and it made all the difference in the world! he was happy, secure, relaxed and slept!

i'm undecided on our next trip as he will be 3.5yo but i'm tempted...

We have a 2 y.o. and do not put her in a car seat. You know your child best, we are lucky that when we travel we explain to her she needs to stay seated just like she is in her carseat. So far she hasn't tested us and is really good at it.

Good luck withever you decide! I ceratinly understand not wanting to lug everything about.

One thing to consider is are you renting a car? If you are it is cheaper to bring your own seat so you don't have to rent a seat on top of the car.

People are patient with families traveling to MCO. It isn't like you are traveling on a Monday morning to JFK with a plane full of business flyers!
