Car seat for a mustang???

Has anybody managed to make this work? We tried our infant seat (Chicco Cortina) and it really didn't work. The passenger seat had to be all the way forward, and it didn't seem safe for the passenger or the baby because the seat was so close. We bought the Cosco Scenera last night, after hearing it was nice and small (and great for the budget) but DH tried it today and said it was really no better. Any ideas? I like the looks of the Combi Coccoro, and have read that it would fit, but we would have to order it, and I hate to spend that much money and not be sure if it would work or not.

It's a 2009 convertible, if that makes a difference.

From what I understand, as long as you can get a piece of paper in between the car seat and the passenger seat, you're ok. I would recommend going on car-seat.org and posting over there, they'll be able to help you out!
