Hi,

Does anyone have any tips on how to get a good car rental deal? We are trying to get a good deal for a week in September and did not know if anyone knew of any specials etc as some of the prices can be steep....thanks all!!!!!

Try mousesavers.com also. They have a breakdown page of codes for all companies in MCO. We used the Orlando Magic Card discount for a great deal at Thrifty. 10 days, mid-size - $180 total.

It took me several hours over several days to get that, and I still look for lower rates about once or twice a week.

I am a fan of thrifty blue chip - I used the orlando magic card discount with my July rental but for my september rental coming up, the rate was LOWER *without* the discount code. So check the rates with and without the various codes from mousesavers.com and other 'code' posting places.

My 6 day rental is 103 TTL without a code compared to the 139+ with a 10% off code.

Thanks for the info. I did try without the codes, but they were much higher. Our rental starts the day after Thanksgiving so that may account for a higher rate. In Jan we only paid $95 for 6 days with Budget.

Alamo has a deal right now for a mid-size SUV for only $148 per week. Great deal!! Mousesavers usually has good stuff too!
