Car rentals right at WDW?

We are visiting Disney for 5 magical nights in September using Disney Magical Express and transportation. DW took it in March and was quite pleased.

We are toying with the idea of renting a car to spend some time at either Universal, Busch Gardens, and other attractions in Orlando area.

Is there a car rental agency right at WDW?
Would Avis, National, etc. deliver a car to our hotel (if ordered)?
Do I need to take a taxi (or Magical Express) back to the airport?

Any suggestions would be appreciated!!!

Alamo and National are located at the Car Care Center, Dolphin Resort, and Buena Vista Palace. The CCC will send a shuttle to pick you up. You can take WDW transportation to the Dolphin and to Downtown Disney. BVP is across the street from DD.

You can also take the DD bus to access Avis (in the Hilton across the street), Dollar (at the Regal Sun across the street) and Budget (at the Doubletree- a short walk). These places may also be able to pick you up with advance notice.

You can rent and return right at Disney, or you can do a one way rental between WDW and the airport (either direction). There are usually no drop fees for one way rentals within the state of Florida. Some rates may have a drop fee, so check carefully and shop around.

Anyone know what a one-day rental would be (ballpark) with pickup/ dropoff from the Buena Vista Palace? This would be on a Sunday.

Suggest you go to mousesavers.com for a list of tips and discount codes for the various car rental places. Then just go out and price them on the rental websites.

Depends on the date, size of car, and any discounts you may have, like Costco or AAA. We've rented for as little as $25, to $40 a day. Go to the National or Alamo website and plug your info in to check the rates.

Same question. We would need to rent a mini-van (there are 5 of us). I'm trying to price this out. Anybody have a BALL-PARK price for this?

Is renting right at WDW come at WDW prices?

Does Florida / or the county Orlando is in have lots of hidden fees, taxes, etc? My last trip to California there was over $100 in fees for a 4 day rental!
