Car rentals from WDW to Cape Canaveral for DCL

Anyone familiar with which rental car companies are easily accesible to both WDW and the cruise terminal?

Enterprise car rental picks you up from your resort then drives you to their office to process your rental. If you are going to be cruising from Port Canaveral, parking your rental is quite expensive. My parents stayed overnight at the "Radisson" near the port at the end of their cruise. The hotel let guests park their vehicles in the lot before or after cruising. They also provided them with "free" shuttle services to and from the port(both ways) My parents told us that their stay at the hotel equal the parking fee at the port. Wow! That's what we are going to do when we go for our DCL 2011.

We were just thinking of renting a car to drive from WDW to the port, hoping we would be able to drop the car off at a nearby location which would have some sort of shuttle to the port. We would only rent the car for one night.

I'm guessing that there must be car rental locations that shuttle guests from the cruise terminal to pick up rental cars for after their cruises? When we cruised in and out of Ft. Everglades there were several rental car shuttles their to pick up/drop off passengers.

I've used Budget at MCO and then driven to the office at Cape Canaveral. They'll shuttle you to the terminal. If you reserved a car with them when you get off the cruise, they'll pick you up (have vans waiting)and take you back. It's about a 5 minute drive from the terminal. I've never had problems with Budget, and my van driver was always some really nice guy from the Chicago area, which is where I"m from. He always liked catching up!

Avis and Budget are both close to the port. I think you might be able to find Avis at a DTD hotel(not sure).

I looked up Avis and there is a counter at 1751 Hotel Plaza Blvd which is downtown Disney but I'm not sure which hotel. They might even bring the car to your hotel.
