We don't usually rent a car, but will for an August trip with 8 people... is it a better deal to reserve through Member Services? Also have Disney Visa and AP's which offer car rental discounts but those don't seem to be a very good deal for a minivan... maybe we won't keep it all week and return it to Dolphin if it's National. Any recommendations? Thanks in advance...

Last time we went down to WDW (April)
I did check w/MS about renting. I got an estimate from MS then checked around online. Orbitz seemed like the best deal to us, so we used that service to get an Alamo car. I think you just need to check around - I would also bet that deal change with regards to the time of year. IMO, you might as well check out all your options. :moped:

Ok I am the queen of car deals and I went and got the entertainment book www.entertainment.com. That in conjunction with using american express points (memebership rewards) we were able to get a 7 day car rental for $36 (for the whole week!)on our last trip. I would highly recommend the entertainment book and the member rewards points for amex are awesome! Alot of schools sell this book for fundraising. Otherwise you can buy it online at the website!

I agree with 3Disneynuts. I bought an Entertainment card book, and saved more with National than MS could get me. Plus, I bought a book to use in my home area (not Orlando), so I use it for other things too. I saved enough with the card to justify the $35 fee.
