WHAT CAR RENTAL AGENCY ARE AT THE AIRPORT ? WHICH ARE THE EASYIST TO USE, WHO MIGHT HAVE THE BEST PRICE FOR A MINI VAN ? I HAVE AMEX, AAA , BJ'S WHOLESALE CLUB IF ONE OF THESE MIGHT GET ME A BETTER RATE.

THANK-YOU ALL .....PINMAN:jester:

They have: Budget, National, Dollar, Avis and LM to the best of my recollection.
I use Priceline for my rentals, I have found it to be the best price place.
I have also used National too.

We have used Avis, Dollar and National onsite at Orlando Airport (MCO). Dollar usually has the best prices but not always. Go to their web site (dollar.com) and use a promo code in the promo code box: DESTC or MCC or KISS. Try them all to see which one gives you the best price on the type car you want. Tip: A week rental is usually cheaper than a 4, 5, or 6 day rental. Also see what price you get without a code, then compare. These codes are for anyone to use and you don't need a coupon or anything else to use them. My personal experiences have been best with Dollar and Avis, service and price wise. Good Luck!

I am normally a towncar person, but we rented a car for the first time ever on our recent trip (forced to, since I was attending a conference). We got the MCO Avis via Priceline, and I must say that it was relatively painless. The Avis counter is right downstairs from the baggage claim area. We got in very late at night, so there was no line. You simply check in, then walk to the garage to pick up your vehicle. We rented a Cavlier, but there were lots of Azteks (which I love...I own one) in the parking area so they must rent those in the SUV class. Returning the vehicle was pretty simple too...they made a mistake, which I caught later, but it was resolved with a phone call.

so all of these are right there and you don't have to take a shuttle across the airport ? i think i want a mini-van, we have 5 people and baggage. we also want to go to a supermarket, last time we used a car service and they brought us to a store near disney that was really expensive, not this time, any suggestions ???

I rented from Dollar last time at Orlando & no...as long as you rent from one of the 5 mentioned above, there are no shuttles. There is a parking ramp attached to the airport with the cars.
I found my Dollar code at http://www.pcpages.com/rentalcodes/ but they have some for the other rental companies which you may want to try to see if there are lower rates for your dates.

I have rented from National, and Avis and Dollar depending on which was the cheapest. I also tried Alamo offsite but didn't have a good experience with long lines. I don't know if you are in the over 50 crowd but I have been finding AARP rates cheaper lately than BJs or AAA. I have read here that Disney Club rates are as cheap or cheaper sometimes than the AARP. Check all your optons I have found prices to vary between the various size cars also. For example Avis migh give you a cheaper full size car but a more expensive economy car than National when you are using the same code. This is just an example. Compare everything. Good luck. Some codes are available on http://www.mousesavers.com but make sure you have the proper club ID card when pickng up your car.

which one would be best for fast & easy check in & check out ?

There is no way to say....they can all be busy and they can all be slow, just depends on when you are there, time of day, what day, etc. I won't worry about it so much, I would concentrate on getting a good price. Any of the car rental places in the airport would be the quickest way to go if renting a car at the airport, plain and simple. I would never rent from L&M though. Stick with the nation wide companies. Good Luck!

with dollar. No hassle pickup and drop off.

Check Dollars site dollar.com for info

They are right in the airport (no shuttle)
and usually have codes or upgrades available.
