Car rental

We needed a car for one day of our trip. Id never rented down at the dis before, and after reading on mousesavers about the sam's club discount, I went to their site. I am a sam's member, and booked a car thru their travel svc. The cheapest car came in out of the national rental at palace hotel. I got it one day for about 50 bucks. I had a cab take me over to the hotel to get the car and it was really pretty simple.
I didnt need a cab, because I was able to return the car to the car care center. I compared the price with my aaa discount and for cars out of the car center, and this was the most affordable way.
Just wanted to give the old to sam's club.

Are you sure that the one way cab to the Palace Hotel plus the $50. rental together was less than picking up the (a different) car at the car care center in the first place?

If you were already on WDW property, you got taken on that cab ride. $50 is more like the cost to go from the airport to WDW - is that what you did?

The cab wasnt fifty bucks..sorry about that. But the pp is probably right, that between the cab ride (about 15 bucks) plus rental, it was probably a fair match with just getting it from the Car Care center. Overall, I was very pleased with the price and easiness with which we rented the car..There are many ways to skin a cat, and just wanted to share my experience!

Just an FYI, there is a huge concession fee added to rentals at the Car Care Center. I can get a premium rental out the door for 6 days at 208 from enterprise. It should have been much cheaper than 50 for one day. Maybe next time, you will check the websites. Costco, IGOUGO works well also. JW

Was the total including car and taxi 50 dollars or just the car at 50? If its the latter, that's a really high price with a discount. I am renting a standard through Enterprise for $140 for a week...

www.carrentals.com I've never found lower prices.
