Does anyone know or have experience renting a car inside the WDW resort? Do any agencies have a pick up @ any of the resorts? Or do any agencies drop the car off to you @ your resort (sounds too good to be true, but I have to ask)? Or do I have to go to the car center to pick up my vehicle? If so how do you get there w/out a car? :confused3 Thanks for your help!!!

How are you getting to WDW?

There is a shuttle to the car care center, and you can also rent a car at the Dolphin. This is from allearsnet.com:

Shuttle service to the Car Care Center is available from all resorts and must be reserved at least one hour in advance. Alamo/National is open seven days/week from 7:30 am to 6:30 pm. The Dolphin is open from 8:15am - 4:00pm. The phone number is 407-824-3470 or 800-227-7368.

There is also a Budget and an Avis in Downtown Disney, last year we used Budget, this year, I'm going to give Avis a try. We love to have a car, it makes it so much easier to get to your ADR's at other resorts. We take Disney transportation to the parks, but for resort hopping, which we do alot of, a car is the only way to go. IMO.

Thanks! I knew someone would have the info.

Cindy'smom- Where @ DD is the office?

BoB- Is there a fee for the shuttle?

I'll also read allears.

Thank You!!!!!

There's a Dollar at the first DTD resort just across the street from the marketplace bus stops.

I have an Enterprise that's off Epcot drive for our Oct trip and they pick-up an drop-off at the resorts ( well POP and PoFQ as thats what I asked when I called ).

Hi, Not BOB, but, there is not a fee for the shuttle, however, it is appropriate to tip the driver a few dollars. :)

Why not just skip ME and rent a car at the airport?
That way you have control of your luggage and don't have to wait forever to arrive.

Thats exactly why . I just check-in get on a ME bus let them drive me and not worry about the bags.

Then just walk over pick-up the car later in the day ( it can cut a full day off rental and get a smaller car as no luggage needed). Gas stations right there at drop off. Then back on ME for the nice ride to MCO.

We really don't need the cars for the entire trip so this makes it a bit easier and saves money

I rented from ALamo at the WDW Car Care Center for one day of my November 05 trip...worked out great. Shuttle picked me up at OKW and then when we returned the car, the shuttle driver dropped our group off at EPCOT which is where we wanted to be for that morning. Great service, and having the car for only part of the trip was ideal (used ME to/from airport and then Disney transportation on site).
