Flying into MCO early and renting a car to go to Kennedy Space Center for the day in Sept. Will probably return rental car no later than 7PM, and I know we can then take DME to POP where we're staying. I haven't done this before and just wondered if it's a hassle to get from rental car return area to the DME area inside the airport? We will have our luggage with us of course. It's just one adult and 2 kids so I can't drop them off at POP and return the car. TIA!

Drop the car off on the B side where DME is located. You just walk across the street and the busses are there, very close.

Edit: I guess when they open B side people can do this.

Have the car rentals opened the garage on the B side? It has been closed for months, with all car rental garage operations on the A side only.

As Ralph&Pam say above, check on the location of car rental return. In March it was on A side only. Which means you drop off the car, then take your luggage down to level 1, cross the street, take elevator/escalator to level 3, walk across to B side, then down to level 1 and DME.

If the rental return is still A only and if one of your kids is old enough....drop off luggage and one kid at DME area. Return car and walk over with younger child.

Only A side is open so it is a hassle. You have to go from the rental car garage, up to the main level, across to the other side then down to DME.
If you are renting from Alamo or National you could return the car to the Disney Car Care Center and they will take you to POP or anywhere else on property.

Well poop! Maybe by the end of Sept. when we go the B side will be open.

I did check on dropping the car at the CCC, but the fee was pretty high, I will keep an eye on it and that might be a possibility. Thanks!

I would be very happy with that if they did. I'm going the middle of October, if they have enough cars to open B side then prices should be more reasonable than they are right now.
