Car Rental Shuttle Buses?

When you use an off-site rental location, does the shuttle bus drop you off at your air line terminal when you return your car? That would be easier so you could use curbside checkin and not have to work through the airport looking for your airline.

I have always used an on-site company and getting outside to curbside checkin can be a nightmare. We always get lost.

Thanks,

Debbie

I've not used an off site car rental agency for MCO, but in every other case/airport, when I've used either off site car rental shuttles or off site parking shuttles, the shuttle dropped me off on the ticketing level in front of the door signed for my airline. It was/would have been easy to use curbside check in if I so chose. Can't imagine that it would bre any different at MCO

Best wishes -

At MCO, the off-site rental shuttles drop you off at your airline. When you return the car and get on the shuttle, tell the driver which airline you are flying on.

Note: Some companies, like Hertz, may designate a shuttle for Terminal A or B, meaning that the shuttle goes only to that terminal then returns to Hertz. They do this sometimes during busy times to make sure people make their flights. It's a good idea to check with the driver or other employee who should be standing near or in the shuttle before you get on.

If you have 2 adults it's easier to use a skycap to check your luggage before you return your rental car.

If you go to the skycab first, where do you park the rental car? I didn't think you could leave it at the curb while you are checking in. Don't the airport police make you move your car??? All four of us would have to check in at the skycab and leave the car unattended.

Thanks,

Debbie

That's why I asked if you had 2 adults, the driver stays with the car and the other adult handles the luggage. Works well if you can flag down a skycap to help unload the car. The driver can wait if the check in is fast, drive around the airport once or just go return the car and take the shuttle back without luggage. I do that even if I have an on-site agency. It's easier than carting the luggage through the garage or on the shuttle bus.

I check in at the curb weekly sometimes twice a week at MCO with no problems. It is only me so no one is with the car. Never had any problems doing this.
