We have never rented a vehicle before and I just don't know how to go about it. We are thinking of going down to WDW a day early because we can get a good rate on Airfare so I was thinking of staying off-site for that one night upon arrival in Florida. If we rent a vehicle, I know we can pick-up at MCO, but what about drop-off? We're thinking of driving to Radisson Celebration Hotel the first night but are staying at Boardwalk Villas the next night. Can someone please help me figure this out please??

Alamo and National are the only car rental agencies on-property. If you were to rent from one of them, you could pick-up your car at MCO, drive to your first night stay at the Radisson. Then the next morning (or afternoon), head to the BWV and checkin. Once that's done, just take your car over to the Dolphin where you can turn it in to Alamo or National - they have a desk in the lobby. Now depending on when your flight arrives, if you return the car before a 24-hour period is up, then it'll only cost you for a 1-day rental.

Also, if you make your reservation on-line in advance, just keep checking back weekly to check your dates and price as car rental rates fluctuate as much as airfares!!

HTH - let me know if you have any other questions. :teeth:

Thanks travelin' tigger! We are actually getting this car the day before we leave WDW instead of on arrival. We are flying and would like to do some other site seeing before leaving Florida. I got a rate through Alamo for $45.99 for an intermediate size vehicle. Is that a good rate? We're suppose to call the Disney Car Care Center over by Magic Kingdom the day before and schedule a time for transport to come and pick us up at OKW and take us to the Car Care Center to get the car and we can return it at MCO on our departure day.

It's not bad considering it's a 1 day rate - there aren't coupons available for 1-day rentals, unfortunately!!!

Those 1 day jobs kill ya!! Try a National Minivan $79 + taxes :sad2: Funny when you can do week rentals on those for usually under $200!!
