Car rental options

After our WDW stay we want to head to the beach for a few days. We are flying so won't have a car. Is there a car rental place at WDW? If not, is there a rental company that will bring a car to us? What are our options?

Now that you’re here, there’s a sticky at the top of the board listing the car rental locations at WDW. Alamo is at the WDW Car Care Center and the WDW Dolphin. Other major car rental operations and another Alamo National location are at various hotels along Hotel Plaza Blvd. near Disney Springs. The CCC provides shuttle service between the center and WDW locations.

There are also car rental locations at some of the Disney Springs Hotels. These hotels are adjacent to Disney Springs. I believe they all provide pick-up service, but you should verify that before arriving.

The Alamo/National location as the Hilton Buena Vista Palace is run by the same people as the Car Care Center. (They also have a location at the Walt Disney World Dolphin.) All of those locations are generally equally priced.

I've rented from the Alamo, Budget, and Avis locations in the above list. I'm not a car guy, so I tend to go with the cheapest option. I've never had any significant issues with any of them. Just make sure the gas level on the contract matches what is in the car. Neighborhood car rental locations sometimes give you less than a full tank and tell you to return it at the same level. (That's a pet peeve of mine since I never know how many gallons is needed to get back to that level.)
