I don't know if anyone here can help or not. I am totally clueless about renting a car. Also should mention that I'm not looking for one to rent in Orlando - need it here at home. Here's my situation - my car just died on me and it looks like the cost of repairs is going to be almost what the poor old thing is worth. In other words, it's kind of senseless to spend the money if I have any other alternative. Fortunately, I think I do have another option but I'm trying to do it as cheaply as possible. My mom left us a very nice truck that will be free from the probate process in a couple of weeks so we should be able to get the title changed over, get new tags, etc. I was already planning to drive that till DS gets his license. So I'm thinking that it might be more sensible to sell my old car (we have a potential buyer already) and just rent something here locally for a couple of weeks. Problem is - we live in a very small town and the only local rental place is Enterprise. Since they don't have lots of competition here, is there any chance of getting any sort of deal or discount? Does anyone know of any discount/promo codes out right now that Enterprise would honor? Also, please give me any advice you can think of. I don't want to get hit with any unexpected charges or anything when I go to turn the car in. Thanks a bunch.:)

I don't know about any promo codes. I would search google or somethign and see what pops up ( if you havent already. Also call your auto insurance agent and make sure that you and the car are covered if you rent. If not or if the coverage is limited you may want to buy the optional insurance at the rental location. It is well worth it just in case.
