Car rental near onsite Universal Studios resorts?

My trip next year I need to get from Universal's RPR to Loews Miami Hotel....(cruise after 2 day Miami visit)

I think a car rental is best idea but am open to other suggestions....

Does anyone know where the closest car rental company would be to RPR?

There is a Budget rental location at the Holiday Inn near the entrance to Universal:

ETA: Adding the Costco BCD #W852800 to my one day rental took $4.00 off the one day rate. Not much savings but a little....

ETA: Maggie and Cbsnyber1, how are you getting to and from the airport on your USO trip?

We are going to WDW first so we will use the ME to get there and then will get a towncar to go from WDW to Universal hotel..that is what we usually do...

I was so glad to see you had started this thread as we are spending a few days at USO but I would like to go to WDW/Downtown Disney for one day and I didn't want to rent a car for the length of stay. Now, once I figure out how to get to and from the airport, our trip planning will be complete!

Oh wow..you are going soon!! If I was you I would just cab it to Downtown Disney...It will cost about $70.00 roundtrip with tip and then you don't have to worry about driving or parking there..and can have a drink if you want

Car rental for one day will be at least $50 and if you dont get rid of it same day you will have to pay for parking at Universal which is very pricey.

It is COLD up here, now, and I can't wait to get down south to some warmer weather....even if it's just for a few days!
