HI All - Is there a site, map, or does someone just know based on experience what car rental company has what slots on the parking deck at orlando international airport? All I need to know is , (im making this up for example) hertz is on level 2 in the front (closest to the terminal) and thrifty is on level 1 in the front or advantage is on level 2 in the back

The reason I ask is that I would be more likely to pick a car rental company thats closest to the termintal to cut down the time and walking versus.

Any help you can provide would be very much appreciated

David

They are all within steps of one another---and the closest one will depend on which luggage carousel you are assigned. Unless the prices were identical (or you have mobility issues) the distance is in the noise.

Got to agree with Brian on this one. The distance between the closest and the furtherest company is no more than a few rows of parking. You could actually walk further down the aisle to get to your car than it would be to go to the next company's lot.

And even if the distance is greater, you may still have to walk further through one agency over another depending on where your assigned car/class is.

Correct me if Im wrong, but I think the only major difference between the rental companies is the drop off location. I believe the Hertz drop off is actually off the airport property, then they shuttle you over to the departure terminal.

All of the major companies are onsite, including the return, this includes Hertz.

Your question reminds me of something that happened to us on our trip about 3 years ago. We had always used Alamo and knew it's location in the parking garage by heart. So we exited our terminal, crossed the street, and turned right into the garage. We walked for quite awhile and couldn't find it. :confused3 We went back to the start and saw the sign pointing to the left. So we went there and got our car. I mentioned to the attendant that we thought it was on the other side. He said it depends on the terminal. We had been flying on Delta and then Alamo was to the right. When we fly on Southwest (different terminal) Alamo, and National, are on the left.

I was glad to know I hadn't developed memory loss yet. ;)

We find getting a car, and returning a car, at MCO, really easy. ;)

Actually, until 2010, on the B side (the Delta side) Alamo/National were on the left; now they're on the right...
