Car Rental Help

I'm looking to rent a Full Size Car from 10/14 AM to 10/23 PM and having a hard time.

Been looking w/Codes from Costco & Entertainment Book and the rate I get is higher than the regular rate. How is that possible?

Need a car for 2 adults and 2 little kids w/car seats, a double stroller and tons of luggage. Can't go bigger than Full Size due to cost.

Where do you I look? I believe I tried all the car rental that I could think of. Anyone had better luck w/ those dates.

Hi..try wwwnationalcar.com try contract ID 5901600 on a mid size or full size. If you can get a Emerald Isle Membership it is a great deal as you get to pick your car at the Orlando airport. It is supposed to be a "midsize" but very often they have small SUV's and bigger cars. Here is a link to get a free membership.

And remember you can cancel and rebook rental cars as many times as you want and these fees change daily. So we always book and then check about one a week and cancel and rebook if lower. The lowest prices will usually appear about 6 weeks before you go. I just got a rate of over $300.00. I just helped a friend book for a month from now and they got $145 for 8 days, so I would guess the rates will drop by September.

flamom, THANK-YOU SO MUCH. I have been trying to get a decent rate on a rental car for months for July. I went to the mom site and got a car from L/M for 79 plus so around 110, I will decline insurance. My best from Nat'l had been 189 or 168 if I went off site. From Alamo 223. For a week! In April I only paid 110 from Alamo. So Big Thanx.

You can book through AAA (it is only Hertz, though). I used www.rentalcodes.com to get a discount for my Dad last week (he saved $48 dollars!). I tried all the Entertainment codes for him also - none of them worked - even though they should have by the parameters on the coupons.

Also, Budget allows spouses to drive for no additional cost. That means I can hit the outlet mall w/o DH as my driver...and he doesn't follow me around keeping track of what I buy!
