Car Rental Game

Is anyone else as annoyed as I am at having to play this game every couple of days with so many different companies with so many different codes? Come on, the difference between using the same code on a Monday versus using it on Thursday could mean $100! That is ridiculous! The airlines have NOTHING on car rental companies!!!

I'm tired too but I do it most everyday!!! I've gotten our rental down from $327 to $169 so it's been worth it for me to do it. I did have to switch from a SUV to a mid-size and switch the pick-up location to a DTD hotel, but it's worth it to us for such a large savings. Good luck to you!

I hate this. There aren't even good codes for july and august. I keep trying but not having any luck.

Here's what I do, take my lowest price and take it to the competitior I really want to book through. The rental reps are constantly being told to "book every deal" so chances are you'll get the best rate possible. It's best to work on the branch level though -- forget doing this through the websites or through the 800 numbers.
