Car Rental from Airport

I am have been looking for a rental car to drive in Jan from Dallas love airport. For a tiny compact car they want 43-45/day. EEEEEEEEKKKKKKKKKKKKKK!!!! Should I take Uber to an offsite car rental place to save money. What have others done or how can I get a cheaper car?

Do you happen to have more information such as the dates you need the rental car, the companies you are looking through?

Do you belong to Costco which has special rates/deals for rental cars? What websites have you looked at?

Try autoslash.com. I have always gotten great rates through them. And if your rental drops in price after you book it they will let you know and you can rebook.
My last trip I rented a standard SUV from Alamo through autoslash for under $100 for three days.

I use Costco, it also waives the $25/day additional driver fee. Actually, it may be a little early to book for a trip in January - sometimes prices drop a little closer to the travel date.

I would suggest booking something so you have it, then keep checking. DH is responsible for our car reservations and we almost never pay the amount of our first reservation. It becomes like a game for him to check every week, then every day before we leave. Sometimes he's saving $10-$20 sometimes it's much more significant. Of course there have also been times where he changes the reservation for 80 cents but it adds up!
