Car rental for someone else with Airmiles?

I'm wondering if I can book a rental car using my airmiles for my boyfriend? He will be driving from Boca Raton after a work function to meet me at Pop Century.

I cant believe how little points you need for a one day rental, it would be great if I can use it!

Don't see why not -- just make sure that he has the ALL the paperwork when he gets there or he will be charged the walk up rate for that day (almost got caught last year with a HUGE charge!!) If he has any coverage on his own car insurance that covers rental cars (he more than likely does if his insurance covers a car when his is being repaired) all he'll need to do is give the paperwork, show his license & a credit card and be on his way. You won't pay until you return the car -- and then only the taxes.

Car rentals are on a 24 hours clock BTW so if you want to go anywhere before that time is up, why not?!? We often find that car rentals offer the biggest bang for our AMs we've done it A LOT and they never ask to see anything to confirm how we rented the car -- it doesn't show up in their system as anything other than pre-paid
