Car Rental for Nov... Help

Help.. Need a rental(minivan) for Fri after Thankagiving...Should I wait till closer to my time? The rates are so high right now.. Are they ever coming down again? Anyone have any insight?? Thank you MUCH..

I booked an intermediate (with Emerald Club service) at National Rental for Friday November 25 through December 2 back in January and I got $170. total including all taxes and fees with a contract discount and the $20 coupon with the Entertainment book.

I check on it from time to time, especially when I see threads on other people's rates going down. Finally on March 23, it went down even more and I re-booked it at $149. total for the 8 days. Of course, it's again VERY high.

My advice is to book something now and then check the rates daily and if it does go down, book it and cancel the older one.

I booked a minivan with Alamo 11/24-12/3 about a month ago using the QVW code. It comes to $394 with tax and fees. I've been checking every few days, so far that is the best rate I've found.

Take a look at getting 2 vehicles instead of one big one. Although you might pay more for parking, it might still be cheaper. We found ourselfs debating this same thing last year at easter.

Have you looked into EZ rent a car (www.e-zrentacar.com) We are only going Feb. next year but the prices were much lower than the other car rental places. Worth checking out.

We are going in December and I am going to wait to see what effect the free disney transportation has on the car rental prices. I believe that the rental prices should come down so they can try to get some buisness away from the free disney transportation.

What's a prem? Squeezing in six into a vehicle other than a mini-van? Does everybody get a seatbelt if you do that? Many moons ago I used to have a car that sat 6 but that was with a bench seat for the front. I haven't seen one of those in a while. But then again, I'm not up on the latest cars.
