Car Rental - Disney Swan to Universal

Hello,

I'm going to be staying at the Disney Swan in a couple of weeks (very excited!) and we wanted to make a day trip out of going to Universal. Do you think it's worth using the National Car rental out of the Dolphin hotel to get to Universal, or should we just use a Mears shuttle? I was able to get a $25 rate for the day, but I wasn't sure how it worked about dropping cars off after they were closed...and how much it costs to park at Universal?

Also, it will be 2 of us.

It costs about $12 to park, then the cost of gasing the car back up. Then you have to drive there and back and worry about returning the car. I'm just not sure how that will work since the counter closes at 4pm.
