Car rental discounts

The Entertainment Book usually has decent rental car discounts. Also, sign up for the rental car company's programs/e-mails. Many are free. Check out the Transportation board here on DIS. They list a lot of them too.

If you are a Costco Warehouse Gold card member you can get pretty decent discount rates. This is what we used for our January trip. I got a Budget car rental discount and paid around $220 for one week.

Also the All Ears website has listed a number of possible car rental discounts as well. I used one of them before for our Seattle trip car rental, again with Budget.

Make sure you look at the Transportation Board here on the DIS. TONS of info there on this subject.

I've gotten the best deals with my B.J's discount. Who knew :confused3

I always check out the codes on Mousesavers. They've saved me a lot of money over the years. :woohoo:

The transporation thread has a lot of good code and discounts posted.
Plus you can join the Alamo Insiders program for better discounted rates and higher coupon codes than what is available to the general public. it is free to join!!!! I scored a weekly mid size rental last year for $84 and this year it was $86 for 8 day rental. I used a BJ discount code and the $40 off Insiders coupon!!!

My company is part of a Corporate Perks website that has a multitude of merchants associated with it. I can usually find great rental car rates through that site.

my best deals have been using our USAA membership with Avis, Budget, Hertz or Enterprise. We have rented for a week+ several times and our total cost is usually in the $175-195 range. Plus, USAA always has coupons on thier website for free class upgrades. So we usually book the full size sedan class (Ford Taurus or similar) and w/ the free upgrade end up with an SUV or premium car... Even a cousin's friend & family discount has not been able to beat the discount we get with our USAA membership. :lovestruc We are renting for spring break .. 7 days 18 hours (just about 8 days, lol) and our total after tax is $156.19 w/ the free upgrade

The only website you'll ever need: carrentalsavers.com

It combines all the different discounts into one place, and when you do a search through them, will automatically apply all applicable discounts so you can see what truly is the cheapest! :thumbsup2
