Car Rental Codes

Does anyone have any car rental codes? I have been quoted $74.67 ( that includes tax) for a one day rental of a minivan in Oct with Avis. Does anyone know of a cheaper rate?

I rented an SUV from Budget for Oct 14-21 and got a rate of $314 for 8 days (that's total price - including taxes, etc). I orignally booked it through Costco for $400 for 8 days. When I checked back (as you should periodically) I found Budget themselves offering this "plan ahead special" for travel in October. They are also located right inside the airport.

I used the FISH code at Dollar, for August 25-9/1...try it with your dates. My sis got a 9 day mini van rental for 410.00 including taxes. I'd give it a try and I also noticed today that Alamo has a sale going.

I just noticed that at the bottom of the rental car section on www.biddingfortravel.com people are posting rental car specials. (I think the message board was titled something like that.) Might be useful.

Try National with code NHOL. I got one week full size sedan for $179.00 for last week of September. With tax etc. it will be $225.20.

I tried a mini-van for one day and got $49.00 or $59.66 including tax.

Just received an email from National today... rate of 38.99/day on a minivan (nationwide) if you pay w/amx card.

I booked w/Dollar in October and got a total of $312.00 for 8 day minivan rental. Thought that was a great rate; it includes all taxes, surcharges, etc.

Avis code D002807 is the Amateur Sports Assistance Program code.
I would never recommend using a code without knowing the origin of it.
