Car Rental Away from MCO

Has anyone rented off site of the Orlando Airport? Am wondering if it is a hassle getting back and forth to car rental location and airport. Just plugged in for our dates of 3-26 to 4-2 with Alamo, and came up with a $200 difference if we rented at one of the Alamo sites away from the airport at a hotel. Am just wondering what experiences anyone may have had and if you feel it is worth the extra time. Thanks for your help!

There are a lot of rental car companies off the airport but near it. But if they offer an airport shuttle, there are still some airport surcharges involved. If I could save $200 by renting elsewhere I'd certainly consider it. But how far away from the airport is it? To me even a $20 taxi ride is worth it for that kind of savings.

If this is what you want to do, and have explored all possible discount codes, be sure to check with Enterprise off site. Even with a RT taxi ride, the savings may be worth it to you. If not pressed for time, I would do it for $200.
