Car rental at/near Universal so I can drive to Disney and drop off car

Hello, I need to do a one day rental so I can drive from Universal to Disney. I know National/Alamo is at Car Care Center, but is there a National/Alamo that is close to Universal so I can do a rental?

If you're returning the car to Universal, the onsite rental company is Hertz. If you're going one way, a $50 taxi might be cheaper. Heck, it might be cheaper to taxi both ways!

You can go to each rental company's web site and look for locations near Universal Orlando. Here's the nearest location to Universal for each rental agency from the last time I checked.

I concur that if all you want to do is get from Universal to WDW one way, a cab is going to be way less hassle, and maybe cheaper once you figure in the extra taxes. Depending on the traffic and where you're going in WDW, a cab is about $40-50, including tip. On the other hand, it's often possible to get a car rental for less than that (not sure about one-way) and if you have other errands like stopping at the grocery store or something it's a good option.

Most of the locations listed above are within 2-3 blocks of Universal property, but a few are further. It could be a decent hike to get to the location. You might ask if they'll come pick you up. Or you can get a cab just to the rental office.

Thanks! Incredibly it's more expensive to rent a one way from National than it is a return to same location at the Car Care Centre. Hmmmm... I do need to go shopping but maybe I'll just cab it around. At least I won't get lost!
