Car Rental - Alamo vs Ace

I am pricing options for a car in October. Sat-Sat but dates are still fluid. I will have a free room about 10 minutes off property.

Alamo is showing about $460 for the week (even through Costco) and Ace is showing $250 for the week. I normally always choose Alamo for the skip the line and ease of pickup at MCO but this is a big price difference.

I used ACE when I traveled through FL for work years ago - with the rental car shortages has anyone had a more recent experience? Is the $200 savings worth the hassle/risk?

Never heard of ACE rental, but sounds like a lot of people who recently used them are not happy and would never use them again....poor service, overcharged, tricked into paying for extra services not required, etc.. Also good to know if the rental location is actually at the airport or requires taking a shuttle to some off-site location. Many older threads on here also make similar comments about other cut-rate rental companies.

We have a rental set up with Alamo for the end of Oct and have started to see the prices drop today. If I was in your shoes with a free room for the week I would take the Alamo and keep checking prices. I like the convenience of having the car at the terminal.

autoslash.com put in your info and keep redoing it on each return. Everyone so far has seen quite a bit of saving using this site. ACE is for sure second tier and personally stay away from them
