Car parks and disney village

hi all, we are off to disney for halloween and are supposed to meeting our parents over there. they are flying and we are going by ferry. does anyone have any idea how far the walk is from the disney car parks to the disney village as thats is where have suggested as a meeting place. Also, do we have to check in before going to the car park? we are staying at DCR, thank you in advance!!

If you are staying at the DCR then you will have to check in 1st to get your pass allowing you to park for free in the Disney car park. The car park is about a 5 minute walk. If meeting in the village the easiest place to meet is by the big Disney Village gantry.
