Staying at SSR and are thinking about car hire for a day to go shopping. Any car hire recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks

We used www.yescarhire.com for DH & DF last august. They were the only members of our party that wanted to go to Kennedy Space Centre so we hired a car through Yescar hire before we left UK it was around £17 including a tank of petrol, we collected it from the Swan/Dolphin hotel - it was a brand new car with less than 100miles on the clock! well worth the money and no hard sell for upgrade at collection! would highly recommend them

The best car hire prices we have found are www.uscarhire.co.uk and www.usrentacar.co.uk.

Both use the large car hire firms Dollar, Alamo and the like and you can either pay all up front or a deposit and the rest 8 weeks before you go.

Have had a no problems with either.

We've used this company a couple of times and have had no problems with them. Usually find that they are more competitive price wise than some of the other companies.

Another one we have used before is www.holidayautos.co.uk again a good price as well.

You could always book directly with Alamo. There are codes to be found on www.mousesavers.com that can usually save a bit of money.

Could I just ask we only want to book for 1 day and I'm staying onsite, where is the best place to pick the car up from! Also we want to go to the Florida mall, is it easy to find?

You can book cars for any days you want. Rental depots everywhere. Florida Mall is very easy to find its on the maps or look at Google maps.

Personally would not use Alamo again see this thread but I guess you find every car rental company has some problems if you ask.
