Car hire tips?

Hi. I have never done this seperately but will probably need to book car hire rather than a package this year.

Any tips or good websites? What is a fair price (2ad 1 ch. 3weeks from 21st July) ?

Don't have a lot of time to look, I am at work but Hertz look to be quite cheap for next summer, I don't usually recommend booking so early but I might check the prices out myself this afternoon, could be worth booking.

Use AA code 504335 to get a discount and use Quidco for an extra 6%.
Prices I just got were £80-100 cheaper than USrentacar.

No flights yet. Thanks for very useful post as always. I did check that out but thought it must be an error. I will look when I get home. Continental want nearly £800 indirect which I feel is too much. Thanks again.

It is some kind of error, its only available via agents without a search engine on their site, the search engines are not picking them up. Many are booking them and have been assured they will be honoured.

Hi

I like to talk about in case of accident.
Are car was hit at the rear at the traffic light on I Drive no real damage to us but a battered bumper, but the other driver got the front end of his car stuck under the bumper of ours.
Get all the drivers info, and a few pictures.
Pull into a garage or 7-11 stores and call the 1-800 help line.
I am so happy I paid for an upgrade in car or we would have had a bigger problem.
