Hiya

Ok I am looking to book car hire seperate to my holidays in florida, as I want a 4 by 4 and virgin doesnt seem to offer them.

so who should I look at, I have used airline network before, but I was wondering who else is out there?

thanks for any help

anna

Anna,

I have just booked with this company for our trip in March. Mandy had recommended them to me and so far they appear to be fine.

We will now always upgrade with Virgin once out there and often Dollar do a good rate :)

Claire ;)

Just did a quick price comparison with the link from Minniespal and for the same company, car, insurance and dates VH were 70 pence more, so not alot saved by going elsewhere! That did include the FVC upgrade and 10% discount. I know sometimes it can be cheaper but not on this occassion.

We're going through Dollar and there's a code KISS2 which saved us quite a bit. Having said that, I'm not experienced at renting cars but I feel we got a good rate. We're getting it from the Grosvenor Hotel in Downtown Disney. Website is www.dollar.com but you must click on 'Specials' in the top or else it won't accept the promo code. Good luck! Don't forget to put KISS2 in the 'promo code' box!

I just priced virgin for a premium car for two weeks with platinum insurance and they want £500, airline net work are aroun £416 for a 4 by 4 with plat insurance

I am going to keep looking

HolidayAutos was the cheapest for us this year, and the actual car we got was from that USrentacar that someone else mentioned.
You get a decent discount if you join the CSMA (free) first, I think the link is www.csma.uk.com , then link to Holiday Autos from there.

Just got an amazing quote for a minivan for next September, $420 for 2 weeks inclusive. Used the promo code KISS2, just need cheapo flights and accom now.

did this and got an excellent price for april/may neat year but what else would i need ie insurances ect??

Hi

I have booked with yescarhire.com and also usrentacar.co.uk and this February we had a 4 x 4 with usrent.

We are going direct with Alamo next year which means we dont have to pay for it until we get there. In February we paid £190 for all inclusive for a week. :thumbsup2

The dollar.com offer with the code KISS2 looks great- can anyone tell me if insurance is included?

We would need SLI and CDW.

On dollar.com with the code we were quoted $407
On dollar.co.uk we were quoted £380 with Platinum insurance- this is a good price too.

Any ideas about insurance on dollar.com?

Thanks
Mandy :sunny:

Hi all
I too have booked through dollar.com and used the KISS2 code
but just got a couple of questions if anybody knows the answer

I can't see where I can add the insurance option so maybe this is done at the counter but just seems odd when using uk dollar site it allows the insurance to be added.

Also do they require a coupon to be shown at counter for the KISS2 code ?

Also been a first timer would I be best of just asking for platinum insurance ?
and will they try to get me to take more insurance than just that ?

thanks

Lee

Lee (and anyone else interested in booking through Dollar with the KISS2 code).

I got the code from Mousesavers. This is what it says "KISS2 for rates from Dollar as low as: economy $18.99/day, $89.99/wk; compact $20.99/day, $98.99/wk; intermediate $34.99/day, $179.99/wk; standard $22.99/day, $108.99/wk; fullsize $24.99/day, $118.99/wk; premium $26.99/day, $138.99/wk; luxury $39.99/day, $188.99/wk; minivan $29.99/day, $158.99/wk; convertible $34.99/day, $168.99/wk; standard SUV $44.99/day, $198.99/wk. Good in Florida only. Blackout dates may apply. Valid through 12/31/06. Source: Kissimmee/St. Cloud Convention & Visitors Bureau."

So it looks like it's good for anyone. Mousesavers are great for pointing our when a code cannot be used by just anyone. If asked, say you got it from the Kissimmee Visitors Bureau!

Here's a link to the page with the info: http://www.mousesavers.com/dollar.html

I don't know about the insurance part of it. Anyone know?
