Car hire query please

Heyo, I'm just in the process of doing my online check in for the car hire which I booked through virgin, when I get to the last page it says it is going to charge my credit card approx $55 dollars for fuel (return at any level), does this sound right as I hadn't budgeted for any extra, there wasn't an option when I booked so I though it was all included! also we land at 15.25 but the car pick up time is 17.50??? Can anybody help with this info?

yep we also have to pay but ours is $75 for a 7 str
you can pick up your car whatever time you land

we cant do the online checkin as i booked with charter, but i was able to do the save time option, so i'm hoping to be able to do online when we get there..

Sometimes the T+Cs say you;ve got to prepay for a tank of fuel. Bit of a con because they know people dont take it back completely empty.

I always try though !!!!
