Morning

Looking for some guidance my DW and I booked yesterday with Virgin for Fly Drive in the first two weeks in November.

We took the basic cover on the car and we were recommended to buy additional cover. I was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction. I have seen policies online but want to ensure I'm buying the right thing.

Thanks

David and Jenn

You can buy an insurance policy like this http://www.quidco.com/insurance4carhire-com/ with 25% cashback will cost you about £75. Some do buy this type of policy but I wouldn't. Read the T&C's, most of them have you paying for claims upfront them claiming back on return, this could be $1,000's. Another downside is they could give you a hard time on collection saying the policy isn't adequate, try get you to buy their insurance, some have no problem others have a hard time.
When I rent a car I want it as easy as poss, if I bump the car I don't want hassle claiming, I just want to return the keys and leave it there, the above policy would bring the hassle home.

Majority of us totally ignore the included car with flydrives and buy the car rental separate (usually cheaper buying flight only though than flydrive) but don't tell them you are not collecting their car or they charge you an unpackaging fee.
