Hi Folks - just about the last thing I need to do is arrange a car hire. I'm looking at the various options mainly on netflights and usrentacar - there are 2 adults and a child who will be using the car so what do you think would be a decent sized car to hire.....economy, compact or intermediate?

I only ask as I am not familiar with a lot of the "example" cars they quote such as Chevrolet Aveo etc

What dates and price you got? I will have a look around for any deals. Sometimes you can pick up a bigger car on offer for not much more than a small car. For example I had a 7 seater full size SUV last month for £139, only about £20 more than the cheapest car.
Maybe no offers about but I will look if you want.
We always book full size (Charger, Implala or similar) minimum but its more for luggage space, struggle with some of the smaller ones.

Thanks for that Wayne - its 1st till 15th April inclusive prices have been around £240 to £250 as far as I can see for econ or compact.

Thanks took a look - one thing that isn't clear is it just say Orlando Airport - doesn't say whether it is International or Sanford as I am flying into the latter?

For MCO you type Orlando for SFB you type Sanford. Usually they work on Airport codes but Holiday Autos/Lastminute.com don't for some reason.
Same price either airport.

Excellent - thanks again - for 3 adults effectively and a few suitcases what size of car do you think would be adequate?

Intermediate probably smallest. you may get 3 people in a compact but luggage would probably go onto back seats too. Think tiny car for economy - definitely too small!
