Hi,

Going to Orlando April/May for the first time with Virgin Holidays and have opted out of car hire. Problem now is that I've booked a four day cruise on Wonder in the middle of our holiday - booked with Dreams Unlimited direct.

How easy will it be to get a one day car hire to get us from Universal end of Orlando to Port Canaveral, leave the car then pick up another one to get us back to ASMo following the cruise?

Or, will it be easier to get some sort of scheduled transport to take us to and from the port? Most transfers seem to be from the airport, or from WDW.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Lynn

Can't help with car hire but here is a link to one of the Dis sponsors fltours

They do cruise transfers and there is an on-line discount.

Thanks for the info. I've checked prices on this site, and I guess £30 per head each way is not too bad, and probably a lot safer than driving myself;)

Cheers

HI lynne,

I might be sounding a bit negative here but I have always said a car is essential to enjoy all Orlando has to offer.

Universal is at the northern end of I-DRIVE and this make it even more a priority in my opinion.

However on the positive side Universal studios has so much to offer now that you will probably love it and wonder what all the fuss is about.

I can just anticipate you not seeing things that a car would make accessable.

Off the few people I know who didnt enjoy florida it was because they were either beach lovers or they had no transport.

Enjoy.
